Fun was the operative word in producing this promotional campaign for The Encana Events Centre’s 2nd Annual Touch a Truck & Fire Truck Pull. I created planes of bright colour and thick outlines to give the illustration a fun, kid friendly look. The registration is a bit off to give it a a handmade, silkscreened texture. The colour palette and type have a vintage feel referencing a time when outdoor, family events like Touch a Truck where common place.
On the back of the mini passports there is a call to action for customers to go online to access clues in order to guess which country Scoop will be featuring. Facebook users can access these clues through a custom tag on Scoop’s Facebook page. Users must like Scoop’s Facebook page to access the clues. Using the travel theme we pasted the clues onto the surface of a suitcase. To advertise scoop’s miniature passports we posted a clean, sleek flyer online that cut through the Facebook clutter.
Scoop wanted to thank customers this Valentine’s day with a free scarf. We came up with a clever Valentine’s day themed facebook profile picture and an over-the-top pink cover photo that reveals the details of the giveaway when clicked. The whole illustration made an excellent print promotion as well.
